The Afro-Latina book series was created to embrace the duality of Afro-identifying Latina girls, celebrating what makes them unique, such as their black skin and curly hair. The target audience is tween girls between the ages of 8 to 12 to teach them about their individuality in those formative years of their lives. Each cover showcases a variety of diverse skin tones, features, and hair types to represent the diversity in this community.
